Platinum Sprites Review
With Pokemon Platinum just recently being released, there has been a lot of critisism concerning the new set of sprites.In the sprite reviews below, the top sprite (the Diamond/Pearl sprite) is compared with the bottom sprite (the Platinum sprite).
Note: These are just my opinions on the new set of sprites. If you don't like what I say about *your favorite Pokemon*, don't flame me.
Bad Spriting
The following sprites have something wrong design-wise.Quagsire
Quagsire's far (right) leg is drawn and shaded as if it's closer than the near leg. (Credit to Butterfree for pointing this out)
Facing the Wrong Way
These sprites occur commonly in Platinum, and are characterized by the sprite facing away from the Pokemon it is battling.Machoke

Posed Wrong
The follwing sprites are posed awkwardly.Budew
Many people critisize this sprite by calling it the "high Budew" or "drunk Budew" sprite.
Golbat
In all the other games, Golbat is posed with its wings spread. Why all of the sudden pose it with its wings down?
Finneon
This is one of numerous sprites whose head is posed downward.
Hippopotas
"Yes, I am going to battle laying down!"
Hippowdon
Hmm... a tough, menacing roar... or, curled up in the sand?
Floatzel
Big hug!
Skuntank
Do I even need to say it? (Let's just hope it doesn't use Flamethrower...)
